Empowering women has been a consistent thread running through the core of Hart & Co.. The original female sounder Suzette Garanito paved the way and built a strong foundation for the new generation of millennial women to build on.
The Founder
Without the bravery and business savvy of Suzette 40 years ago, South Homes would never have come into existence. She and her friend Karen started this business armed with a rotary telephone, a phone book, and a will of iron. They paid and posted ads in the newspapers seeking out listings and building their portfolio from scratch. Suzette continued to grow her business, fueled by passion for the industry and the thrill of the chase.
Zoë Hart
When Zoë came into the picture in January 2016, she was well educated, enthusiastic and ready for a challenge. Zoë’s biggest motivator was being close to her husband and family home in San Fernando. Infinite trust in a Universal guiding power greater than herself and her mother’s advice – Zoë had the confidence to buy Suzette’s company and become her own boss. Despite the arrival of Zoë’s first child – she balanced running the company single-handedly, but she wasn’t seeing any growth.
Disa Hart
Enter Disa, stage right. Disa is Zoë’s sister-in-law, trusted business partner and confidant. Disa took up the role of Administrative Manager armed with her law degree. She runs the office, and she couldn’t be happier! She lives a flexible, dynamic life in a positive work environment surrounded by family.
Emma Moore
Emma was ready to leave the corporate world behind and to put her years of advertising experience and customer service to good use. Emma is an extremely self-motivated individual who entered the world of real estate and never looked back. Emma was Zoë’s answer to expansion into the North market.
Celeste Simpson
Immediately after she and her partner purchased their first home, Celeste had a burning desire to delve deeper into the world of Real Estate. With a successful career as a car sales consultant with Southern Sales, Celeste saw joining the Hart & Co. team as an empowering opportunity to hone her skills as a sales person, expand her network and make a second income on her own time.
The empowering stories of these 4 young women are without a doubt owed to Suzette, the founder. Her success, hard work and generosity lead to 4 women finding their dream career in an established, profitable business. It is no wonder that Hart & Co. is so deeply committed to empowering women and female entrepreneurs to not only find safe and comfortable homes to raise their families, but also commercial properties to run their own successful businesses from. We also use our social media platforms to inspire women and girls and we provide guidance to starting a successful real estate career in Trinidad. We truly believe that when empowered women support each other amazing things can happen!
